Kids aged 7 to 18 years can access this ticket for a discounted price of €20.

If you want to add an audio guide experience to this ticket, you can select the other options for adults 19 to 99 years old, which cost €38.

Children between 7 and 18 years old can add the audio guide option with an entry ticket for a discounted price of €28!

Infants below 7 years old can access both of these ticket options for free!

Cancellation Policy 

This ticket is non-refundable.

You cannot ask for a return on your ticket money if you cancel your ticket for any reason. 

Meeting Point

This ticket has practically no meeting point since it is not a guided tour. 

Go to the Vatican Museum Entrance at Viale Vaticano on Vatican Museums, 00120 Citta del Vaticano and show your digital or printed ticket to the security guards. 

After passing through security, scan the entry ticket at the Cassa Online E Gruppi box office. 

You will only be allowed entry if you arrive within the time slot mentioned on your ticket. 

Important Information About the Ticket 

  • Carry your passport and ID proof if you have a discounted ticket for kids. 
  • This ticket is not preferable for kids below 6 years old. 
  • You can add an audio guide in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, or Chinese to this ticket. 
  • Visitors wearing clothes that expose their knees and shoulders are not allowed in the Museum according to the Vatican dress code. 
  • Arrive 30 minutes before, as you must go through airport-style tight security before entry. 
  • Youth between 7 and 18 can access discounted tickets with valid ID proof.
  • Kids below 7 years old can enter for free with ID proof. 
  • St. Peter’s Basilica and St. Peter’s Square are not open during the Papal Audience in the morning. 
  • The timings of the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and Basilica might change during special events.
  • Visitors with disabilities and one carer can enter for free after showing a valid disability certificate at the Special Permits or Reception desk in the museum’s hall.
  • The museum is extremely crowded in June, July, and August.   

About the Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel

  • Opening Hours

The Vatican Museum opens at 8 am and closes at 8 pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 9 am to 2 am on the last Sunday of each month. 

  • Getting there

The fastest way to get to the Vatican Museum is by taking the Metro line A to the Cipro Station

Besides this, you can quickly get here by bus, train, tram, and even a private vehicle. 

The Ottaviano-S Pietro Metro station will also drop you closer to St. Peter’s Basilica and St. Peter’s Square.
