Ticket Price

The standard entry Colosseum ticket with access to the Forum, Palatine Hill, and Mamertine Prison for adults above 18 years cost €30.

European citizens between 18 and 25 can buy this ticket for a discounted price of €9.

Children between the ages of 6 and 17 also receive a discounted ticket price of €7.

Infants below six years, accompanied by an adult, can access this ticket for free!

Cancellation Policy

You cannot reschedule your booking or request a refund on this ticket.

Once you have paid the money, you cannot get it back on cancellation, no matter the reason.

You cannot change the time slot and date of your booking once you purchase the ticket.

Meeting Point 

Since this is an entry self-guided ticket, there is practically no meeting point for the experience.

The Mamertine Prison next to the Roman Forum is where the experience for this Colosseum ticket will begin.

Before you enter, you will be given a Colosseum ticket, which will be for a time slot 1.5 hours later on the same day. 

Ensure that you reach the Colosseum 15 minutes before the allotted time so you don’t miss your time slot.

Important Information about this Ticket 

  • You must carry valid ID proof, as security must cross-check your information to the details on your ticket at the Colosseum’s entrance. 
  • The time slot you pick while booking your ticket is the entry time for the Mamertine Prison. 
  • The itinerary of this trip begins from Mamertine Prison, followed by the Colosseum. You will end this experience at the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. 

About the Colosseum, Mamertine Prison, Roman Forum, & Palatine Hill

Opening hours

Mamertine Prison is open from 9 am to 5 pm on all days of the week. 

The Roman Colosseum opens at 8.30 am and closes an hour before sunset, so the timings change regularly.

The Roman Forum and Palatine Hill timings change throughout the year, but 9.30 am to 4 pm is a safe time to visit. 

Getting There  

Since the meeting point for this experience is at the Mamertime Prison, the Cavour Metro Station is the closest metro station, within 5 minutes walking distance from the prison. 

If you are traveling by bus, get off at the Fori Imperiali, 3 minutes away from the Mamertime Prison tour visiting point.
